In a ceremony befitting the importance of the occasion, Booker T. Washington students graduated from kindergarten during a special ceremony at Tydings Auditorium on May 24.
A total of 472 students graduated from Hobbs High School during commencement exercises on May 21.
Murray, Coronado and Broadmoor students celebrated on May 19-20 as the end of school approached.
Zach Marshall was a second consecutive state championship in high jump - leaping 6'8" - at the state meet in Albuquerque on May 13.
The Lady Eagles were knocked out early in the state softball championship rounds at Albuquerque on May 12 - losing 10-9 to Carlsbad and 3-2 to Volcano Vista.
The Lady Eagles beat Eldorado 7-1 at home on May 6. As a result they advanced to state playoff action the following week in Albuquerque.
The boys track team finished in third place at the May 6 district track meet hosted by Hobbs at Watson Stadium.
