Part of Monday's districtwide teacher training included HHS Principal Zeke Kaney's explanation of a new way for all students and parents to report threats or possible violent behavior. Students and parents can use a bar code, telephone number or email to report threats - anonymously or by leaving a name. Click on the link for details.
HHS teacher John Duskey was one of dozens of Southwest Symphony musicians who performed for Hobbs 4th and 5th graders on Tuesday morning at Tydings Auditorium.

Sonya Glass celebrated Grandparents' Day on Wednesday by eating lunch with her grandchildren - including Travis Persilver - at Taylor Elementary School. She wasn't the only one. Click on the picture for photo highlights.  Hobbs Police Officer Rob Hammer was guest speakers for a curious group of Coronado first graders on Tuesday who also listened to a registered nurse and Urenco employee.
Broadmoor Elementary School was named a 2018 National Blue Ribbon School award winner on Monday. It was the only public school in New Mexico to earn the honor this year and is the first National Blue Ribbon school in Hobbs history. U
