I have a Degree, a high school diploma, or equivalent. How do I become a substitute?
Step 1. Complete an application online: Apply Online
Once your application has been approved by HR, you be contacted by HR for Sub Orientation.
Step 2. After Sub Orientation. Complete your Observations for three grade levels. Upon completion call HR and schedule and appointment to complete the new Hire process. This includes fingerprinting, $59.00 and applying for the New Mexico Substitute License, $50.00
Pay Schedules for Substitute
HS Diploma/GED $120.00 per day
BA Degree or higher $125.00 per day
Certified Teacher $130.00 per day
Long Term Sub $150.00 per day (After 30 days)
