Members of the Red Turtle Dance Group performed a rain dance for Mills Elementary students. The Pueblo Native American dance troupe from Pojoaque provided a glimpse of a culture that has been passed down for generations for Mills and Sanger students on Friday.  As it turns out the following Monday it rained.

There was a group of teachers that went to the Gathering of Nations in April to research how to introduce Native American Dance into the larger curriculum.  They came back with suggestions like we should bring one of the traveling groups.
