The CTECH Spring Advisory Committee Meeting was a great success, with Superintendent Gene Strickland highlighting the importance of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in New Mexico. He emphasized how essential the support and strong relationships with industry partners are to the continued success of CTECH.
During the meeting, CTECH Internship students Briana Hernandez, a Construction student, and Jacob White, an Oil and Gas student, shared their
insightful experiences interning with Pettigrew and Associates and Legacy Safety Consultants, respectively. Their stories truly showcased the value of hands-on industry experience and the role these internships play in preparing students for successful careers. Briana stated, “I’ve joined a community where everybody loves what they do.” This is a statement of truth and passion for her experience at CTECH and as an intern at Pettigrew and Associates.
To show appreciation, CTECH presented "Proud Partner" banners to all the industry partners, recognizing their invaluable support and contributions to the growth and success of CTECH and its students. We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing collaboration that helps shape the future of our workforce!
