Matthew Baird, Katrina Rascon, Christian Trujillo and Karla Mota pack cookies that the HHS Advanced Foods and Culinary Arts classes baked this week for the local National Guard Unit. The cookies were donated for Saturday's Changing of the Guard ceremony.
Jefferson students in Donna Bonds' third grade class got in character for next week's casting of Treasure Island by dressing like pirates on Friday. Elementary school students at four Hobbs Schools -- Jefferson, Stone, Taylor and Edison -- audition for the play on Monday, rehearse all week, then perform at 3 p.m. next Saturday in Tydings Auditorium.
