Niclas Nienebuck, a German foreign exchange student, demonstrates the robot built by he and partner Gabriela Contreras to Jefferson Elementary autism students on Friday morning. Citing research showing that autism students engage well with robotics, the Hobbs High School SkillsUSA students will also give a demonstration to Murray autism students next month.

National Guard Specialist  Chris Gonzales, Sgt. Anthony Castillo, Staff Sgt.Donald Tackett and Staff Sgt. Alfredo Turrubiates present Hobbs Municipal Schools Nutritional Services Coordinator Margaret Patterson-Adams with a plaque of appreciation on Friday 9/24/10. Patterson and Hobbs schools provided free school lunches for children of the the 920th Engineer Co. while it was deployed To Afghanistan. That meant free food for more than 100 children. "It was our way of saying thank you for serving our country," Patterson said.
