Spring Homecoming Candidates Announced
Spring Homecoming Assembly on Monday

Hobbs High School’s spring homecoming assembly will feature nine queen candidates and seven king nominees.
  The seniors were either nominated by their teams, clubs or the student body. Voted on by their classmates, the HHS Spring Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned during a Monday afternoon assembly in Tasker Arena.

The nominees are:

april sandoval


April Sandoval,
 nominated by the Lady Eagles Track and Field team. Sandoval, a distance runner on the track team, is the daughter of Maria and David Sandoval and will be escorted by Jan Corral, the son of Angeles Torres.





ciera heckard

Ciera Heckard
, nominated by the Lady Eagles Softball team. A member of National Honor Society and Student Council, Heckard  plays center field for the softball team and  is the daughter of Cory and Lori Heckard. 


david ortega



Heckard will be escorted by David Ortega who is  a varsity baseball team nominee.  Ortega is a pitcher and also played on the varsity football team. He is the son of Ruperto and Veronica Ortega.







ashley selman


Ashley Selman
was nominated by the Varsity Tennis team. She is the daughter of Susan and Jim Selman. In addition to tennis, Selman participates in Science Olympiad, Student Council, the National Honor Society and the Humane Society. She will be escorted by Jarred McGraw, the son of Amanda and John McGraw.





ashton ebert


Ashton Ebert
is nominated by Science Olympiad. She is the daughter of Maureen and Fred Ebert, is a member of the National Honor Society and also participates in Science Olympiad competition. Ebert will be escorted by Jackson Driskill, son of Nancy Driskill and Chris Driskill.




cindy nevarez

Cindy Nevarez
is nominated by the Lady Eagles Basketball team.  She is the daughter of Miguel and Sonia Gutierrez.  In addition to basketball, Cindy also plays for the varsity volleyball team and is a member of the National Honor Society.  She will be escorted by Junior Escamilla, son of Ramon Escamilla and Maria Rodriguez.




madison meek



Madison Meek
was nominated by the swim team. She is the daughter of Jamie Meek.  Meek will be escorted by Isaiah Soto, the son of Beatriz Mancillas and Reinaldo Soto.





dejza duarte


Dejza Duarte
was nominated by the Hobbs High student body. She is the daughter of Dean and Vicki Duarte.  In addition to playing for the Lady Eagles basketball team, Duarte also participates in Student Council and the National Honor Society.  She will escorted by Chris Castillo, son of Billy and Pauline Gideon.

Halli Wilson
was also nominated by the student body. The daughter of Quintin and Brenda Wilson, she is a member of the volleyball and track teams and attends Taylor Memorial Baptist Church.  Wilson also participates in Student Council, National Honor Society and FFA.  She will be escorted by Dallin Moody, the son of Bret and Jenny Moody.




amanda rotunno


Amanda Rotunno
is another  Hobbs High student body nominee. The daughter of Tammy and Victor Rotunno, she is a member of the National Honor Society, the History Club, St. Helena’s Youth Group and the National Society of High School Scholars.  Rotunno also plays for the volleyball and golf teams.  She will be escorted by Ransom Reno, son of Susan and David Reno.




andrew bosquez



Andrew Bosquez
is nominated by the varsity Track and Field team. He is the son of Paul Bosquez. Andrew is a two-time individual cross country state champion and is a member of the back-to-back HHS state champion cross country teams. He will be escorted by Thalia Miller, daughter of Thane and Cynthia Miller.


tristan baeza


Tristan Baeza
was nominated by the Art Club. The son of Rebecca and Jaime Baeza, he will be escorted by Hillary Willard, the daughter of Stacy and Tracie Willard.




dylan kuhn

Dylan Kuhn
was  nominated by the wrestling team. He is the son of Wayne and Michelle Kuhn.  In addition to recently winning a state wrestling championship, Kuhn played defensive lineman for the football team.  He will be escorted by Taylor Hardison, daughter of Shawn and Lisa Hardison.

Deuce Goodrich
was nominated by the basketball team.  He is the son of Chessica Wilson and Nine Goodrich.  Goodrich will be escorted by Addison Burton, daughter of Zachary and Bethany Burton.



ross



Matthew Ross
was nominated by the Hobbs High student body. He is the son of Philip and Amy Ross. In addition to playing baseball, Ross is a member of the National Honor Society. He will be escorted by Kassidy Nix, daughter of Bo and Jena Nix.

Brennen May
is also a student body nominee. He is the son of Brian and Christy May. May is a member of the National Honor Society, the football and wrestling teams. He will be escorted by Erica Fonseca, the daughter of Mikal and Jesus Fonseca.




cason clay



Cason Clay
is another student body nominee.  He is the son of Brett and Tasha Clay and also plays varsity football for the Eagles.  Cason will be escorted by Natalie Faulkenberry, daughter of Genna Faulkenberry and Clay Faulkenberry.
