juarezHobbs schools is proud to introduce its new teachers to our community. Look for a profile on a new instructor here on a regular basis.

I am Diana Juarez and I teach sixth-grade Social studies at Highland Middle School.

I grew up in Hobbs and graduated from Hobbs High School in 2008. I graduated from ENMU in December 2011.

The reason I want to teach is because I want to help kids. I want to be able to show them education skills along with life skills. I want to be able to show kids their potential to reach their goal. I want to be able to help at least one kid like my teacher(s) have done for me.

My favorite memory from my own days in school  is when my high school English teacher actually taught me how to write a paper. She took the time to help me comprehend the idea of how to put my thoughts on paper.

In my spare time I hang out with my family and friends and watch sports and movies. We are a sports family. We go to every event possible.

My favorite book is the Twilight series. Yes, I am a total girl. I love romance.
